We visited the amazing island of Cayo Levantado. We spent a fair amount of time researching the area, local attractions, as well as reading other reviews. We found that most travelers stayed on the island for their entire trip and those who did leave, recommended to book excursions with the hotel after arriving. Ignore that advice! Terry was so great to respond to all of our questions and concerns, not only about the excursions, but also about traveling to the area in general. We decided to book our entire week long vacation with him including round trip airport transfers. We enjoyed nearly half of all his excursions: Los Haitises, La Playita, the Devilâ??s Blow Hole, the Real Dominican, and El Limon waterfall. There is only one word: FABULOUS! We were never rushed at any stop, treated like locals instead of tourists, and learned so much about the culture. Terry even got hurt one of the first couple of days there and we never would have known. Things continued to run smoothly the entire week.

Our group toured in December 2010. I have been on several excursions and this was by far the most amazing. Although I have done and seen a lot, none have ever felt like a true adventure and this did! We did the horseback tour to the waterfalls. It rained that day (and I hate to be wet) but I wasn't going to let anything stop us and I'm so glad we didn't. It was well worth the money spent, a full day of activity. The food was excellent, very friendly staff and beautiful country side. I hope we can visit this jem again some day. Thank you Terry!

We toured with Terry December 2010 from RC Enchantment of the Seas. I too read review about the port and recommendations to not get off the ship as it wasn't a worthwhile stop. Then I ran across Tour Samana with Terry. Not a single bad review. We signed up immediately. My husband, daughter and I did the horseback riding tour. It was absolutely wonderful. Terry and his associates make you feel like they've known you forever the minute you meet. They provide you with cold beverages throughout the tour, and really take you to see what it's like to be a local. He also caters his tours to exactly what you want to see/do. When the horse back riding part of our tour ended and we were having lunch, my daughter (then 10 years) wanted to take another ride up the beach. Terry had his associate take her for one more trip while the rest of us relaxed with a local family serving us lunch. We are definately planning another trip to Samana so we can tour with Terry again. When you head down to tour with Terry, don't forget to bring some clothes/school items for the local kids.

We visited Samana as part of a cruise ship port of call. Our cruise ship had delays in tendering everyone to shore. Terry's associate met us on the pier, eventhough we were very late getting a shore as a result of the tendering. His associate (Benjamin) was very freindly, still took us on our excursion, and his best to get us back on time! We were able to see some true Domenicain culture, visit a truly beautiful location (El Limone waterfall), and experience an excellent Domenicain meal. My family and I were very impressed and will certainly book another excursion with Terry if we are back in Samana!

Our group toured Samana with Terry in December, 2010. His crew was wonderful and our tour was far more personal than a typical ship excursion. Terry is friendly, knowledgable and makes you feel like a friend by the end of the day. Before cruising, I read that Samana was not like a typlical port. It was said in a negative context, but to our group, the port was atyplical in the best way. Terry gave us the opportunity to learn about its people, see its most beautiful areas, and get off the beaten path to experience its culture.
